Analygence has been granted a new task order by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to enhance its Cybersecurity and Privacy Platform.
On Thursday, Analygence announced it will assist NIST with the development, testing, and implementation of various web applications and services. These include crucial tools such as the National Vulnerability Database, the National Checklist Program, and the Cybersecurity and Privacy Reference Tool.
Additionally, Analygence will collaborate with NIST to create an innovative technique aimed at reducing measurement uncertainty in vulnerability assessments and standardizing vulnerability descriptions. This new methodology will incorporate a structured characterization system known as a vulnerability ontology, or “Vulntology.”
This task order is part of the broader NIST Cybersecurity and Privacy Support Services indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract.
This marks another chapter in the ongoing partnership between NIST and the Maryland-based cybersecurity firm. Earlier in June, Analygence secured a $125 million IDIQ contract to assist NIST with processing cyber vulnerabilities for the National Vulnerability Database. Furthermore, the company, along with two other firms, won a $125 million contract in 2023 to provide comprehensive cybersecurity and privacy support to NIST’s Computer Security Division, Applied Cybersecurity Division, and other related divisions.
