Entro Security Partners with Wiz for Enhanced Non-Human Identity and Cloud Protection

Entro Security, an innovator in safeguarding Non-Human Identities (NHIs) and sensitive data, has teamed up with Wiz, a frontrunner in cloud security, to form a powerful partnership that merges Entro’s advanced NHI protection platform with Wiz’s cutting-edge Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) tools.

Revealed on May 13, 2025, this collaboration equips security and Identity and Access Management (IAM) teams with unparalleled visibility into which non-human identities have access to critical data, enabling proactive prevention of security breaches before they can spread.

As more businesses transition to the cloud, the surge in programmatic access credentials—ranging from service accounts to API keys—has created a surge in unmanaged, often overly-permissioned non-human identities. These identities commonly have excessive access to sensitive information, including financial data, personal information, and health records. When misconfigured or breached, they present substantial risks and broaden the vulnerability of systems.

Tackling Urgent Cloud Security Challenges

“The synergy between Wiz’s data protection capabilities and Entro’s NHI risk management framework is a game-changer for defending cloud infrastructures and non-human identity threats,” said Itzik Alvas, CEO and co-founder of Entro Security.

This partnership empowers businesses to quickly identify high-risk machine identities linked to confidential data, allowing them to address these risks immediately and regain control of their cloud security posture.

The integration targets alarming trends highlighted by both companies’ research. Wiz’s 2025 State of Code Security Report revealed that 61% of organizations have exposed secrets in public repositories. Furthermore, Entro’s 2025 State of Non-Human Identities Report found that a staggering 90% of NHIs possess excessive permissions far beyond what is needed.

Through the seamless integration of Entro’s Non-Human Identity (NHI) management and Wiz’s robust data classification tools, security teams now have the capability to quickly identify risks, correlate NHI behavior with sensitive data access, and autonomously address misconfigurations before they are exploited.

Focused Security Use Cases

This integration specifically targets two high-priority use cases:

  • Compromised Non-Human Identities: Entro swiftly identifies exposed or compromised NHIs along with their associated credentials. By integrating Wiz’s Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), this context is enriched to reveal the type and sensitivity of data these NHIs can access. For instance, when Entro flags a public AWS access key, it leverages Wiz’s DSPM to categorize the type of sensitive data—such as Amazon S3 buckets or RDS databases—that could be vulnerable.
  • Sensitive Data Exposure: Wiz maps and classifies cloud data assets, identifying sensitive information such as PCI, PHI, or PII. Entro then processes this data to identify which NHIs have access to it, highlighting over-permissioned, orphaned, or misconfigured identities.

The integration uses lineage mapping to visualize connections between NHIs, their access permissions, sensitive data, and cloud resources. This feature provides security teams with clear investigative paths, enabling them to quickly detect and disrupt potential attack routes before they can be exploited.

“As experts in securing non-human identities and sensitive credentials, Entro’s solution enhances our efforts to safeguard cloud data,” stated Oron Noah, VP of Product Extensibility & Partnerships at Wiz. “By merging Entro’s identity intelligence with Wiz’s data security insights, we offer customers a deeper understanding of complex, data-driven risks.”

Entro is now a proud member of the Wiz Integration Network (WIN), marking it as the first NHI and secrets security solution to integrate into Wiz’s ecosystem. This integration is available immediately to joint customers, providing faster threat detection, enriched contextual data, and more efficient incident response.

By combining identity-focused and data-focused security strategies, Entro and Wiz deliver a comprehensive cloud security solution that empowers security teams to prioritize critical threats and minimize their vulnerability surface.
